CPython Patches Remote DoS Flaw
A vulnerability in CPython allows attackers to trigger a remote denial-of-service condition; a patch is available.
CERT-FR has issued an advisory regarding a vulnerability in CPython, the reference implementation of the Python programming language, that could be exploited by a remote attacker to cause a denial-of-service condition. The flaw, tracked as CVE-2026-6879, affects installations that have not applied the latest security patch released by the Python Software Foundation.
No evidence of active exploitation is provided in the advisory. Administrators are advised to consult the official Python security bulletin and apply the available fix to affected systems.
