CPython patched for remote DoS flaw
ANSSI advisory warns of a remote denial-of-service vulnerability in CPython, fixed in the latest security update.
The French national cybersecurity agency (ANSSI/CERT-FR) issued an advisory regarding a vulnerability in CPython, the reference implementation of Python, tracked as CVE-2026-15310. The flaw allows a remote attacker to trigger a denial-of-service condition against affected systems running unpatched versions of CPython.
The issue was disclosed via the official Python security-announce mailing list on 25 August 2026. No indication of active exploitation is provided in the advisory. Organizations running CPython should apply the vendor-supplied patch referenced in the official Python security bulletin as soon as feasible.
