Oracle October 2026 CPU patches MySQL flaws

Oracle's October 2026 Critical Patch Update fixes over 150 vulnerabilities in MySQL Server, Cluster, Router, Connectors and Enterprise Backup, some allowing remote code execution.

CERT-FR has republished Oracle's October 2026 Critical Patch Update (cpuoct2026) covering a very large number of vulnerabilities across the MySQL product family, including MySQL Server (versions 8.4.x, 9.7.x, and 26.7.x), MySQL Cluster, MySQL Router, MySQL Enterprise Backup, and the MySQL Connectors for J, .NET, ODBC and Python. Impacts described by the advisory range from remote code execution and remote denial of service to breaches of data confidentiality and integrity, and bypass of security controls. No proof-of-concept or in-the-wild exploitation is mentioned in the bulletin.

This is a routine quarterly vendor patch cycle rather than a single named flaw or campaign; Oracle's CPU bundles fixes contributed by multiple internal and external researchers across all currently supported MySQL branches. Given the breadth of affected versions and components, defenders running any MySQL-based deployment (standalone server, cluster, router, or client connector libraries) should inventory their exact version and apply the applicable patches from Oracle's security alert page as soon as feasible, prioritizing systems exposed to untrusted networks or multi-tenant environments where remote code execution or denial-of-service vectors would have the greatest impact.

No specific threat actor, malware family, or active exploitation is referenced; this advisory is informational guidance for patch management rather than evidence of ongoing attacks. Defenders should treat it as a standard vendor patch bulletin, validate affected product/version matches in their estate, and schedule remediation per standard change-management processes.

What this brief leaves out

This page is the free tier: the write-up, the severity, the names. In the app the same report carries live profiles of the CVEs it names. The paid plans add the security research and news reporting the free tier leaves out.

It sits in a corpus of 13,960 reports from 143 sources, 519 of them written in the last seven days, and it grows through the day.

A new account starts with three days of all of it, no card, then keeps the government and CERT reporting free. Slack alerts are a paid-plan feature: name the vendors you run and Slack hears about the reports that touch them — about forty a week that are yours, not the four hundred that are not.
