Stack overflow in Ivanti gateways allows unauthenticated RCE
Free public brief. The indicators, the detections with Splunk SPL already written (plus Elastic and KQL where they apply), and a Slack alert the next time this touches a vendor you run are in the app — free account, no card.
Remote unauthenticated attackers can exploit a stack buffer overflow in Ivanti Connect Secure, Policy Secure, and ZTA Gateways for remote code execution; limited in-the-wild exploitation reported.
A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability (CVE-2025-22457) affecting Ivanti Connect Secure, Policy Secure, and ZTA Gateways allows unauthenticated remote attackers to achieve remote code execution on vulnerable appliances. Ivanti has confirmed exploitation of Ivanti Connect Secure 22.7R2.5 or earlier and end-of-support Pulse Connect Secure 9.1x in a limited number of customer environments at the time of disclosure. Successful exploitation runs in system context, potentially enabling attackers to install programs, view, modify, or delete data depending on system privileges.
Affected versions include Pulse Connect Secure 9.1R18.9 and prior (end-of-support), Ivanti Connect Secure 22.7R2.5 and prior, Ivanti Policy Secure 22.7R1.3 and prior, and ZTA Gateways 22.8R2 and prior. Ivanti has released patched versions: Connect Secure 22.7R2.6, Policy Secure 22.7R1.4, and ZTA Gateways 22.8R2.2. The vulnerability is exploitable without authentication, making it immediately actionable for any organization running affected versions of these internet-facing security gateways.

What this brief leaves out
This page is the free tier: the write-up, the severity, the names. In the app the same report carries its extracted indicators, its detections (Splunk SPL already written, plus Elastic and Microsoft KQL where they apply), the actors and CVEs it names as live profiles, and the vendor research on the same campaign — the primary source the news paraphrased, cited and read directly.
It sits in a corpus of 13,854 reports from 146 sources, 616 of them written in the last seven days, and it grows through the day.
A new account starts with three days of all of it, no card, then keeps the government and CERT reporting free. Name the vendors you run and Slack hears about the reports that touch them — about forty a week that are yours, not the four hundred that are not.
