Oracle patches 110 flaws in Communications suite

Free public brief. Slack alerts on the vendors you run come with the paid plans, and a new account gets three days of them, no card.

Oracle fixed 110 vulnerabilities in Oracle Communications products, including 77 remotely exploitable without authentication and several rated up to CVSS 9.8.

NCSC-NL has published an advisory summarizing Oracle's latest Critical Patch Update for Oracle Communications products, covering Unified Assurance, Cloud Native Core Security Edge Protection Proxy, Service Catalog and Design, and Operations Monitor, among others. The update addresses 110 vulnerabilities spanning code injection, stack- and heap-based buffer overflows, path traversal, use-after-free, and unsafe deserialization issues. Of these, 77 can be exploited remotely by unauthenticated attackers over network access, with CVSS scores reaching as high as 9.8.

Successful exploitation could allow unauthorized access to sensitive data, unauthorized modification of data, or disruption of availability on affected systems, depending on the specific flaw. Some vulnerabilities require prior access or user interaction, while the most severe can be triggered purely over the network without credentials. No in-the-wild exploitation is reported in this advisory; it functions as a patch notification rather than an incident report.

Given the scale (110 CVEs), the presence of multiple critical unauthenticated remote vulnerabilities, and the telecom-infrastructure relevance of Oracle Communications products, affected organizations—particularly telecom operators running these platforms—should prioritize applying Oracle's updates promptly and review exposure of management and signaling interfaces to untrusted networks.

What this brief leaves out

This page is the free tier: the write-up, the severity, the names. In the app the same report carries live profiles of the CVEs it names. The paid plans add the security research and news reporting the free tier leaves out.

It sits in a corpus of 13,839 reports from 141 sources, 522 of them written in the last seven days, and it grows through the day.

A new account starts with three days of all of it, no card, then keeps the government and CERT reporting free. Slack alerts are a paid-plan feature: name the vendors you run and Slack hears about the reports that touch them — about forty a week that are yours, not the four hundred that are not.
