Google Android OS patch fixes remote code execution and 100+ other flaws including active exploitation of two CVEs.

Google released a security advisory on 09/04/2025 addressing over 100 vulnerabilities across Android OS and third-party components. The most severe vulnerability, CVE-2025-48539 in the Android System, allows remote code execution without requiring elevated privileges, potentially enabling attackers to execute arbitrary code and gain full system control. Two vulnerabilities are confirmed being exploited in the wild: CVE-2025-38352 (Kernel elevation of privilege) and CVE-2025-48543 (Android Runtime elevation of privilege). The patch set includes privilege escalation flaws in Framework, System, and Kernel components; information disclosure vulnerabilities across multiple subsystems; denial-of-service conditions; and vulnerabilities in third-party chipset firmware from Qualcomm, MediaTek, Imagination Technologies, and Arm. The advisory affects all Android devices on patch levels prior to 2025-09-05 and applies to smartphones, tablets, and watches.

What this brief leaves out

This page is the free tier: the write-up, the severity, the names. In the app the same report carries its extracted indicators, its detections (Splunk SPL already written, plus Elastic and Microsoft KQL where they apply), the actors and CVEs it names as live profiles, and the vendor research on the same campaign — the primary source the news paraphrased, cited and read directly.

It sits in a corpus of 13,853 reports from 146 sources, 616 of them written in the last seven days, and it grows through the day.

A new account starts with three days of all of it, no card, then keeps the government and CERT reporting free. Name the vendors you run and Slack hears about the reports that touch them — about forty a week that are yours, not the four hundred that are not.
