HPE Aruba AOS-Switch flaws enable unauthenticated RCE

HPE patched nine AOS-Switch vulnerabilities, including six critical flaws (CVSS 9.1-9.8) allowing unauthenticated remote code execution or auth bypass.

NCSC-NL published an advisory covering multiple vulnerabilities fixed by HPE Networking (HPE Aruba Networking) in its AOS-Switch (AOS-S) product line. The flaws reside primarily in the management interface and API of AOS-S switches. Six of the nine disclosed CVEs carry CVSS scores between 9.0 and 9.8, with CVE-2026-76742 and CVE-2026-76743 (both 9.8) allowing an unauthenticated remote attacker to bypass authentication controls and gain system access; CVE-2026-76743 reportedly requires conditions not specified by HPE. CVE-2026-76744 (9.8) is a buffer overflow allowing unauthenticated remote arbitrary code execution. CVE-2026-76745 (9.6) is an adjacent-network memory corruption flaw also leading to arbitrary code execution. CVE-2026-76746 (9.3) and CVE-2026-76747 (9.1) are buffer overflows that can leak sensitive information or cause denial of service, exploitable from an adjacent network or remotely without authentication respectively. Two lower-severity issues (CVE-2026-76741 and CVE-2026-76749, both CVSS 6.5) and one medium-high issue (CVE-2026-76748, 8.8) round out the set.

Successful exploitation of the critical flaws could fully compromise confidentiality, integrity and availability of affected switches, which are often deployed as critical network infrastructure. No evidence of in-the-wild exploitation is noted in the advisory. HPE has released firmware updates addressing all listed vulnerabilities. NCSC-NL recommends not exposing management interfaces to the internet, restricting them to dedicated management networks, and applying IP allowlisting to limit access to trusted clients, in addition to applying HPE's patches.

What this brief leaves out

This page is the free tier: the write-up, the severity, the names. In the app the same report carries its extracted indicators, its detections (Splunk SPL already written, plus Elastic and Microsoft KQL where they apply), the actors and CVEs it names as live profiles, and the vendor research on the same campaign — the primary source the news paraphrased, cited and read directly.

It sits in a corpus of 13,854 reports from 146 sources, 616 of them written in the last seven days, and it grows through the day.

A new account starts with three days of all of it, no card, then keeps the government and CERT reporting free. Name the vendors you run and Slack hears about the reports that touch them — about forty a week that are yours, not the four hundred that are not.
