HPE Aruba Patches Dozens of Flaws

CERT-FR warns of 36 vulnerabilities in HPE Aruba AOS-Switch and ClearPass Policy Manager enabling RCE, privilege escalation and DoS; patches available.

CERT-FR has issued an advisory covering multiple vulnerabilities disclosed by HPE in its Aruba Networking product line, specifically affecting AOS-Switch (AOS-S) versions prior to 16.11.0032 and ClearPass Policy Manager (CPPM) versions prior to 6.11.16 and 6.14.1. The vulnerabilities span a wide range of impact types including remote arbitrary code execution, privilege escalation, remote denial of service, data integrity and confidentiality breaches, security policy bypass, cross-site scripting (XSS), and SQL injection.

The advisory references two HPE security bulletins (HPESBNW05156 and HPESBNW05158, both dated 6 October 2026) and enumerates 36 associated CVEs. No evidence of active exploitation in the wild is mentioned in the advisory. Defenders operating affected ClearPass Policy Manager or AOS-Switch deployments should prioritize patching given the presence of remote code execution and privilege escalation vectors, which could allow an attacker to fully compromise network access control and switching infrastructure.

As this is a vendor-issued patch bundle relayed by a national CERT, organizations should consult the linked HPE bulletins for per-CVE technical details and apply the referenced fixed versions as soon as operationally feasible.

What this brief leaves out

This page is the free tier: the write-up, the severity, the names. In the app the same report carries its extracted indicators, its detections (Splunk SPL already written, plus Elastic and Microsoft KQL where they apply), the actors and CVEs it names as live profiles, and the vendor research on the same campaign — the primary source the news paraphrased, cited and read directly.

It sits in a corpus of 13,853 reports from 146 sources, 616 of them written in the last seven days, and it grows through the day.

A new account starts with three days of all of it, no card, then keeps the government and CERT reporting free. Name the vendors you run and Slack hears about the reports that touch them — about forty a week that are yours, not the four hundred that are not.
