SolarWinds patches flaws in Observability, Patch Manager
Free public brief. Slack alerts on the vendors you run come with the paid plans, and a new account gets three days of them, no card.
CERT-FR advisory covers multiple vulnerabilities in SolarWinds Observability Self-Hosted and Patch Manager allowing privilege escalation, SSRF, and XSS.
CERT-FR published an advisory detailing multiple vulnerabilities affecting SolarWinds Observability Self-Hosted and SolarWinds Patch Manager versions prior to 2026.4. The flaws collectively allow an attacker to compromise data integrity and confidentiality, perform server-side request forgery (SSRF), conduct indirect remote code injection via cross-site scripting (XSS), and escalate privileges. Six CVEs are referenced (CVE-2026-28308, CVE-2026-28324, CVE-2026-28328, CVE-2026-28329, CVE-2026-28330, CVE-2026-28331), with SolarWinds publishing dedicated security bulletins for four of them on 20 October 2026.
No exploitation in the wild is mentioned in the advisory. Affected organizations running SolarWinds Observability Self-Hosted or Patch Manager below version 2026.4 should consult the vendor's security bulletins and apply the available patches. Given SolarWinds' history as a high-value target for supply-chain and infrastructure attacks, prompt patching is recommended despite the absence of reported active exploitation.

What this brief leaves out
This page is the free tier: the write-up, the severity, the names. In the app the same report carries live profiles of the CVEs it names. The paid plans add the security research and news reporting the free tier leaves out.
It sits in a corpus of 13,960 reports from 143 sources, 519 of them written in the last seven days, and it grows through the day.
A new account starts with three days of all of it, no card, then keeps the government and CERT reporting free. Slack alerts are a paid-plan feature: name the vendors you run and Slack hears about the reports that touch them — about forty a week that are yours, not the four hundred that are not.
