CISA KEV adds PAN-OS, Cisco, Ahsay flaws
Free public brief. The indicators, the detections with Splunk SPL already written (plus Elastic and KQL where they apply), and a Slack alert the next time this touches a vendor you run are in the app — free account, no card.
CISA added four actively exploited vulnerabilities in Palo Alto PAN-OS, Cisco Secure Email Gateway, and Ahsay AhsayCBS to its KEV catalog.
CISA has added four newly identified vulnerabilities to its Known Exploited Vulnerabilities (KEV) Catalog based on confirmed evidence of active exploitation in the wild. The affected products include Palo Alto Networks PAN-OS (code injection), Cisco Secure Email Gateway (relative path traversal), and two vulnerabilities in Ahsay AhsayCBS backup software (improper authentication and command injection). These product categories—network OS, email security gateways, and backup management systems—are high-value targets since successful exploitation can grant attackers significant control over exposed infrastructure.
Under Binding Operational Directive (BOD) 26-04, FCEB agencies are required to prioritize remediation of KEV-listed vulnerabilities on publicly exposed assets, particularly those enabling full post-exploitation control, and to check for prior compromise before patching. While BOD 26-04 is mandatory only for federal agencies, CISA recommends all organizations adopt the same risk-based patching priority for these four CVEs.
Defenders should identify any instances of PAN-OS, Cisco Secure Email Gateway, or Ahsay AhsayCBS in their environment, apply vendor patches immediately, and review logs for signs of exploitation predating remediation, particularly path traversal or injection attempts against these specific products.

What this brief leaves out
This page is the free tier: the write-up, the severity, the names. In the app the same report carries its extracted indicators, its detections (Splunk SPL already written, plus Elastic and Microsoft KQL where they apply), the actors and CVEs it names as live profiles, and the vendor research on the same campaign — the primary source the news paraphrased, cited and read directly.
It sits in a corpus of 13,854 reports from 146 sources, 616 of them written in the last seven days, and it grows through the day.
A new account starts with three days of all of it, no card, then keeps the government and CERT reporting free. Name the vendors you run and Slack hears about the reports that touch them — about forty a week that are yours, not the four hundred that are not.
