CISA catalogs three actively exploited vulnerabilities

severe vulnerability government-nationaldefense

Free public brief. The indicators, the detections with Splunk SPL already written (plus Elastic and KQL where they apply), and a Slack alert the next time this touches a vendor you run are in the app — free account, no card.

CISA added three known-exploited vulnerabilities to its KEV Catalog, including embedded malicious code flaws in Daemon Tools Lite and Nx Console.

CISA has added three vulnerabilities to its Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog based on evidence of active exploitation in the wild. The additions are CVE-2026-8398 (Daemon Tools Lite embedded malicious code), CVE-2026-45321 (TanStack unspecified vulnerability), and CVE-2026-48027 (Nx Console embedded malicious code). These vulnerabilities represent frequent attack vectors leveraged by malicious cyber actors and pose significant risks to the federal enterprise.

Under Binding Operational Directive 22-01, Federal Civilian Executive Branch agencies are required to remediate these vulnerabilities by specified due dates. While BOD 22-01 applies only to FCEB agencies, CISA urges all organizations to prioritize remediation of KEV Catalog vulnerabilities as part of their vulnerability management programs. The presence of embedded malicious code in two of the three vulnerabilities suggests supply-chain or installation-time compromise risks that warrant immediate attention.

What this brief leaves out

This page is the free tier: the write-up, the severity, the names. In the app the same report carries its extracted indicators, its detections (Splunk SPL already written, plus Elastic and Microsoft KQL where they apply), the actors and CVEs it names as live profiles, and the vendor research on the same campaign — the primary source the news paraphrased, cited and read directly.

It sits in a corpus of 13,854 reports from 146 sources, 616 of them written in the last seven days, and it grows through the day.

A new account starts with three days of all of it, no card, then keeps the government and CERT reporting free. Name the vendors you run and Slack hears about the reports that touch them — about forty a week that are yours, not the four hundred that are not.
