CERT-FR flags multiple MongoDB component vulnerabilities
Free public brief. The indicators, the detections with Splunk and KQL already written, and a Slack alert the next time this touches a vendor you run are in the app — free account, no card.
CERT-FR advisory lists five CVEs across MongoDB, Compass, mongo-c-driver, mongo-php-driver and pymongo enabling data integrity compromise and security policy bypass.
CERT-FR published an advisory summarizing five vulnerabilities affecting multiple MongoDB ecosystem components: MongoDB server (versions 2.2.x-2.5.x prior to 2.5.3, 2.x prior to 2.1.10, and prior to 1.21.10), MongoDB-extension, Compass (prior to 1.49.12), mongo-c-driver (prior to 1.30.12 and prior to 2.5.5), and pymongo (prior to 4.18.2). The vulnerabilities can allow an attacker to compromise data integrity, bypass security policy controls, or trigger an unspecified security issue as characterized by the vendor.
No exploitation in the wild is indicated, and no technical exploitation details are provided in the advisory. Defenders operating any of the listed MongoDB components should consult the referenced vendor security bulletins and GitHub Security Advisories (GHSA-cmvj-vxvq-rh2c, GHSA-frjf-h5jg-4v46, GHSA-qx36-8mw2-4r3x, GHSA-v4x9-3549-crwv, GHSA-vp6j-j7w5-5xjj) to identify affected packages precisely and apply the corresponding patched versions.
Given the range of affected components—spanning the database server, GUI client, C driver, PHP driver, and Python driver—organizations using MongoDB in any capacity should inventory their deployed driver and tooling versions and prioritize patching, particularly for internet-facing or multi-tenant environments where data integrity guarantees are relied upon.

What this brief leaves out
This page is the free tier: the write-up, the severity, the names. In the app the same report carries its extracted indicators, its detections with the Splunk SPL and Microsoft KQL already written, the actors and CVEs it names as live profiles, and the vendor research on the same campaign — the primary source the news paraphrased, cited and read directly.
It sits in a corpus of 11,104 reports from 154 sources, 2,663 of them written in the last seven days, and it grows through the day.
A new account starts with three days of all of it, no card, then keeps the government and CERT reporting free. Name the vendors you run and Slack hears about the reports that touch them — about forty a week that are yours, not the four hundred that are not.
