Multiple vulnerabilities across Spring Framework products
Free public brief. The indicators, the detections with Splunk SPL already written (plus Elastic and KQL where they apply), and a Slack alert the next time this touches a vendor you run are in the app — free account, no card.
Critical remote code execution and SSRF flaws in Spring Boot, Integration, Web Flow, Web Services, and State Machine products.
CERT-FR has published an advisory covering multiple vulnerabilities across the Spring product ecosystem, affecting Spring Boot, Spring Integration, Spring State Machine, Spring Web Flow, and Spring Web Services. The vulnerabilities enable remote code execution, data confidentiality compromise, SSRF attacks, and security policy bypass. Affected versions span multiple release branches: Boot 3.4.x–3.5.x and 4.0.x; Integration 5.5.x–7.0.x; State Machine 3.2.x–4.0.x; Web Flow 2.5.x–4.0.x; and Web Services 3.1.x–5.0.x. The advisory references 12 distinct CVEs published on 10–11 June 2026. Defenders must patch across all affected product lines and versions according to the vendor security bulletins.

Detection guidance
Java Process Spawning Command Shell or LOLBin on Windows
java.exe/javaw.exe (for example a Spring Boot app) spawning cmd, PowerShell or download/recon utilities, typical post-exploitation of RCE in a Java web application. Auto-generated starting point — validate and tune in your environment before deploying. IOC matches can false-positive on shared infrastructure and decay as adversary infrastructure rotates.
title: Java Process Spawning Command Shell or LOLBin on Windows
description: Detects java.exe or javaw.exe spawning cmd, PowerShell, or common download
and recon utilities. This is typical of post-exploitation after remote code execution
in a public-facing Java/Spring application. The rule generalises on the parent/child
relation, not on any specific CVE or payload.

Java Process Spawning Shell with Download or Reverse Shell Commands on Linux
A Java process (for example a Spring application) spawning sh/bash with curl, wget, /dev/tcp or base64-decode content, indicating web application RCE exploitation. Auto-generated starting point — validate and tune in your environment before deploying. IOC matches can false-positive on shared infrastructure and decay as adversary infrastructure rotates.
title: Java Process Spawning Shell with Download or Reverse Shell Commands on Linux
description: Detects a Java process spawning a POSIX shell whose command line fetches
remote content, uses /dev/tcp, or decodes base64. This is typical post-exploitation
of RCE in a public-facing Spring or Java application. Generalises on the behaviour,
not on specific payloads.

What this brief leaves out
This page is the free tier: the write-up, the severity, the names. In the app the same report carries its extracted indicators, its detections (Splunk SPL already written, plus Elastic and Microsoft KQL where they apply), the actors and CVEs it names as live profiles, and the vendor research on the same campaign — the primary source the news paraphrased, cited and read directly.
It sits in a corpus of 13,853 reports from 146 sources, 616 of them written in the last seven days, and it grows through the day.
A new account starts with three days of all of it, no card, then keeps the government and CERT reporting free. Name the vendors you run and Slack hears about the reports that touch them — about forty a week that are yours, not the four hundred that are not.
