Microsoft November patch addresses kernel RCE exploited in wild

Microsoft patches critical remote code execution flaws across Windows, Office, and Azure products; kernel elevation already under active exploitation.
Microsoft released critical patches on November 11, 2025, addressing multiple remote code execution vulnerabilities across a broad range of products. The most severe vulnerability affecting Windows Kernel (CVE-2025-62215) has been confirmed exploited in the wild, allowing attackers to execute code with the privileges of the logged-on user. Successful exploitation enables account creation, data manipulation, program installation, and privilege escalation depending on the target user's account rights. The patch advisory covers over 25 affected systems including Windows core components, Microsoft Office applications, SQL Server, Azure Monitor Agent, Visual Studio, and others. Administrative users face the highest risk from these vulnerabilities.
Microsoft's advisory confirms active exploitation of the Windows Kernel elevation of privilege flaw. The broad scope of affected products—spanning operating system components, productivity software, cloud services, and development tools—necessitates immediate patching across enterprise environments. Organizations should prioritize systems running with elevated privileges and apply updates immediately following appropriate testing. CIS Safeguards recommend establishing documented vulnerability management and automated patch management processes, conducting vulnerability scans quarterly or more frequently, and implementing the principle of least privilege across systems.

What this brief leaves out
This page is the free tier: the write-up, the severity, the names. In the app the same report carries its extracted indicators, its detections (Splunk SPL already written, plus Elastic and Microsoft KQL where they apply), the actors and CVEs it names as live profiles, and the vendor research on the same campaign — the primary source the news paraphrased, cited and read directly.
It sits in a corpus of 13,854 reports from 146 sources, 616 of them written in the last seven days, and it grows through the day.
A new account starts with three days of all of it, no card, then keeps the government and CERT reporting free. Name the vendors you run and Slack hears about the reports that touch them — about forty a week that are yours, not the four hundred that are not.
