CERT-FR Warns of SolarWinds Multi-Product Flaws
Free public brief. Slack alerts on the vendors you run come with the paid plans, and a new account gets three days of them, no card.
CERT-FR advisory details multiple vulnerabilities in SolarWinds Observability Self-Hosted and Patch Manager enabling privilege escalation, SSRF, and XSS.
CERT-FR issued an advisory covering multiple vulnerabilities affecting SolarWinds Observability Self-Hosted and SolarWinds Patch Manager versions prior to 2026.4. The flaws collectively allow an attacker to compromise data integrity and confidentiality, perform server-side request forgery (SSRF), conduct indirect remote code injection via cross-site scripting (XSS), and escalate privileges. Six CVEs are referenced (CVE-2026-28308, CVE-2026-28324, CVE-2026-28328, CVE-2026-28329, CVE-2026-28330, CVE-2026-28331), with SolarWinds publishing separate vendor bulletins for CVE-2026-28328 through CVE-2026-28331 on 20 October 2026.
No exploitation in the wild is mentioned in the advisory. CERT-FR directs administrators to consult the SolarWinds vendor bulletins for patch details and to update affected products to version 2026.4 or later. Organizations running SolarWinds Observability Self-Hosted or Patch Manager should prioritize patching given the privilege escalation and SSRF risks, which could allow lateral movement or access to internal network resources if exploited.

What this brief leaves out
This page is the free tier: the write-up, the severity, the names. In the app the same report carries live profiles of the CVEs it names. The paid plans add the security research and news reporting the free tier leaves out.
It sits in a corpus of 14,237 reports from 143 sources, 591 of them written in the last seven days, and it grows through the day.
A new account starts with three days of all of it, no card, then keeps the government and CERT reporting free. Slack alerts are a paid-plan feature: name the vendors you run and Slack hears about the reports that touch them — about forty a week that are yours, not the four hundred that are not.
