CERT-FR Flags Multiple Azure Vulnerabilities
Free public brief. The indicators, the detections with Splunk SPL already written (plus Elastic and KQL where they apply), and a Slack alert the next time this touches a vendor you run are in the app — free account, no card.
CERT-FR advisory lists eight CVEs across Azure components including CycleCloud, Key Vault SDKs, and Arc-enabled servers enabling RCE and privilege escalation.
CERT-FR published an advisory consolidating eight vulnerabilities (CVE-2026-100207, CVE-2026-69877, CVE-2026-85891, CVE-2026-85922, CVE-2026-85925, CVE-2026-88094, CVE-2026-88132, CVE-2026-96204) affecting multiple Microsoft Azure products and services, all disclosed by Microsoft on 13 October 2026. Affected components include Arc Enabled Servers, Azure Connected Machine Agent, Azure CLI and DevOps CLI Extension, Azure CycleCloud, Azure HDInsight, Azure Key Vault Client SDK (multiple language packages for Java, Python, and Rust), and Azure Storage Blobs client library for Java.
Exploitation of these flaws could allow an attacker to achieve remote code execution, escalate privileges, bypass security policies, or compromise data confidentiality, depending on the specific vulnerability and component. No indication is given in the advisory that any of these vulnerabilities are currently being exploited in the wild; this is a standard vulnerability disclosure and patch advisory rather than an active exploitation report.
Defenders operating Azure services and SDKs listed should consult the official Microsoft Security Response Center bulletins for each CVE to obtain patched versions and apply updates as soon as feasible, prioritizing internet-facing or privileged components such as Azure CLI, CycleCloud, and Key Vault client libraries given the confidentiality and privilege escalation risks.

What this brief leaves out
This page is the free tier: the write-up, the severity, the names. In the app the same report carries its extracted indicators, its detections (Splunk SPL already written, plus Elastic and Microsoft KQL where they apply), the actors and CVEs it names as live profiles, and the vendor research on the same campaign — the primary source the news paraphrased, cited and read directly.
It sits in a corpus of 13,854 reports from 146 sources, 616 of them written in the last seven days, and it grows through the day.
A new account starts with three days of all of it, no card, then keeps the government and CERT reporting free. Name the vendors you run and Slack hears about the reports that touch them — about forty a week that are yours, not the four hundred that are not.
