Adobe patches 32 ColdFusion vulnerabilities

routine vulnerability

Free public brief. The indicators, the detections with Splunk SPL already written (plus Elastic and KQL where they apply), and a Slack alert the next time this touches a vendor you run are in the app — free account, no card.

Adobe fixed over 30 ColdFusion flaws, including several CVSS 10.0 bugs enabling unauthenticated RCE, file read, and SSRF; no active exploitation reported.

NCSC-NL published an advisory summarizing Adobe's patches for a large batch of ColdFusion vulnerabilities spanning path traversal, code injection, unrestricted file upload, XML external entity (XXE) injection, incorrect authorization, and server-side request forgery (SSRF). Several of the flaws carry maximum CVSS v3 scores of 10.0 (CVE-2026-105899, CVE-2026-106622, CVE-2026-106624) and others score above 9.0, indicating that many can be exploited without user interaction to achieve privilege escalation, arbitrary code execution, unrestricted file upload, access to internal network resources, sensitive memory disclosure, or denial of service.

Of particular note is a path traversal vulnerability in the Remote Development Services (RDS) component that allows an attacker to read arbitrary files without user interaction; RDS is disabled by default under the Production Secure Profile, which limits exposure for hardened deployments. The SSRF vulnerabilities could allow attackers to bypass network segmentation and reach internal systems that would otherwise be unreachable from the internet-facing ColdFusion server.

No in-the-wild exploitation is mentioned in the advisory. Defenders running Adobe ColdFusion should apply the vendor's updates referenced in the advisory as a priority given the number of critical-severity issues, verify that RDS and other optional services are disabled where not required, and review network segmentation controls around ColdFusion instances to limit the impact of any SSRF-related compromise.

Adobe ColdFusion Server Spawning Shell or Download Utility

ATT&CK T1190

ColdFusion process spawning a command interpreter or LOLBin, typical post-exploitation after ColdFusion code injection, file upload or RCE exploitation. Auto-generated starting point — validate and tune in your environment before deploying. IOC matches can false-positive on shared infrastructure and decay as adversary infrastructure rotates.

Adobe ColdFusion RDS Endpoint Request With Path Traversal

ATT&CK T1190

Web request to the ColdFusion RDS IDE endpoint containing directory traversal sequences, consistent with arbitrary file read attempts. Auto-generated starting point — validate and tune in your environment before deploying. IOC matches can false-positive on shared infrastructure and decay as adversary infrastructure rotates.

What this brief leaves out

This page is the free tier: the write-up, the severity, the names. In the app the same report carries its extracted indicators, its detections (Splunk SPL already written, plus Elastic and Microsoft KQL where they apply), the actors and CVEs it names as live profiles, and the vendor research on the same campaign — the primary source the news paraphrased, cited and read directly.

It sits in a corpus of 13,854 reports from 146 sources, 616 of them written in the last seven days, and it grows through the day.

A new account starts with three days of all of it, no card, then keeps the government and CERT reporting free. Name the vendors you run and Slack hears about the reports that touch them — about forty a week that are yours, not the four hundred that are not.
