Honeywell OneWireless WDM remote code execution flaws

routine vulnerability energyinfrastructure

Free public brief. The indicators, the detections with Splunk SPL already written (plus Elastic and KQL where they apply), and a Slack alert the next time this touches a vendor you run are in the app — free account, no card.

Four remotely exploitable memory and handler flaws in Honeywell OneWireless WDM allow information exposure, denial of service, or remote code execution.

Honeywell OneWireless Wireless Device Manager (WDM) contains four critical vulnerabilities in its Control Data Access (CDA) component affecting versions prior to R322.5 and R331.1. The flaws include buffer overread (CVE-2025-2521, CVSS 8.6), sensitive data reuse in buffers (CVE-2025-2522, CVSS 6.5), integer underflow enabling arithmetic failures (CVE-2025-2523, CVSS 9.4), and improper packet handler deployment (CVE-2025-3946, CVSS 8.2). All four vulnerabilities are remotely exploitable with no authentication required and low attack complexity. Successful exploitation could yield information disclosure, denial of service, or remote code execution. OneWireless WDM is deployed in chemical and energy critical infrastructure worldwide. CISA reports no known active exploitation in the wild as of the advisory date, but the high CVSS scores and ease of remote exploitation warrant immediate patching.

What this brief leaves out

This page is the free tier: the write-up, the severity, the names. In the app the same report carries its extracted indicators, its detections (Splunk SPL already written, plus Elastic and Microsoft KQL where they apply), the actors and CVEs it names as live profiles, and the vendor research on the same campaign — the primary source the news paraphrased, cited and read directly.

It sits in a corpus of 13,854 reports from 146 sources, 616 of them written in the last seven days, and it grows through the day.

A new account starts with three days of all of it, no card, then keeps the government and CERT reporting free. Name the vendors you run and Slack hears about the reports that touch them — about forty a week that are yours, not the four hundred that are not.
