> Three memory-corruption flaws in Smart Editor v1.0.1.0 and prior allow arbitrary code execution; update to v1.0.2.0.

Fuji Electric Smart Editor versions 1.0.1.0 and prior contain three separate memory-corruption vulnerabilities—an out-of-bounds read (CVE-2025-32412), out-of-bounds write (CVE-2025-41413), and stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-2025-41388)—each with CVSS v4 score 8.4. All three require local attack surface and user interaction but grant full code execution capability if exploited. The vulnerabilities affect critical manufacturing environments worldwide; CISA reports no active exploitation in the wild at publication. Mitigation is straightforward: update to Smart Editor v1.0.2.0 or later. Organizations should apply network segmentation to isolate engineering workstations running Smart Editor from direct internet exposure and restrict access via VPN where remote engineering is necessary.

## Mentioned in this report

- Vulnerabilities: CVE-2025-32412, CVE-2025-41388, CVE-2025-41413

## Detection guidance (public sample)

### Fuji Electric Smart Editor Spawning Command Interpreter or Script Host

ATT&CK: T1203

Smart Editor spawning a shell, script host or LOLBin child process, which is possible post-exploitation behaviour after memory-corruption code execution (CVE-2025-32412, CVE-2025-41413, CVE-2025-41388). Auto-generated starting point — validate and tune in your environment before deploying. IOC matches can false-positive on shared infrastructure and decay as adversary infrastructure rotates.

```yaml
title: Fuji Electric Smart Editor Spawning Command Interpreter or Script Host
description: Detects a process whose parent image path contains Smart Editor (Fuji
  Electric) launching a command interpreter, script host or common LOLBin. Editor
  applications rarely spawn these, so a hit may indicate successful exploitation of
  a memory-corruption flaw via a crafted project file. The parent image name is matched
  by substring because the exact binary name is not given in the advisory; tune it
  to your installed binary.
