Improper access control flaw in Joomla Widget Factory content editor is being actively exploited in the wild.
CISA has added CVE-2026-48907, an improper access control vulnerability in the Joomla Widget Factory content editor plugin, to its Known Exploited Vulnerabilities (KEV) Catalog based on confirmed evidence of active exploitation. The vulnerability allows malicious actors to gain unauthorized access and control over affected systems. Improper access control flaws are recognized as a frequent attack vector and pose significant risks to enterprise environments. CISA's addition to the KEV catalog triggers mandatory prioritization requirements under Binding Operational Directive (BOD) 26-04 for Federal Civilian Executive Branch agencies, which must rapidly remediate this vulnerability on all publicly exposed assets. The directive requires agencies to verify whether systems were compromised prior to patching. CISA encourages all organizations, regardless of federal status, to adopt risk-based vulnerability management and prioritize remediation of KEV-listed vulnerabilities.

What this brief leaves out
This page is the free tier: the write-up, the severity, the names. In the app the same report carries its extracted indicators, its detections (Splunk SPL already written, plus Elastic and Microsoft KQL where they apply), the actors and CVEs it names as live profiles, and the vendor research on the same campaign — the primary source the news paraphrased, cited and read directly.
It sits in a corpus of 13,854 reports from 146 sources, 614 of them written in the last seven days, and it grows through the day.
A new account starts with three days of all of it, no card, then keeps the government and CERT reporting free. Name the vendors you run and Slack hears about the reports that touch them — about forty a week that are yours, not the four hundred that are not.
