Adobe Patches Critical Acrobat/Reader Flaws

Adobe fixed critical vulnerabilities in Acrobat and Reader (APSB23-54) that could allow attackers to bypass security features.

IPA Japan issued an alert regarding Adobe Security Bulletin APSB23-54, which addresses vulnerabilities in Adobe Acrobat and Reader for Windows and macOS. The affected versions include 23.006.20360 and earlier, as well as 20.005.30524 and earlier, across multiple product lines.

Adobe has stated that these vulnerabilities have not previously been targeted by attackers, but some of the flaws carry a critical severity rating and could allow a security feature bypass if exploited. IPA recommends that users update to the latest versions provided by Adobe to mitigate the risk. No active exploitation has been reported.
