CERT-FR Flags Stormshield Network Security Flaws

routine vulnerability government-nationaltechnology

Free public brief. The indicators, the detections with Splunk SPL already written (plus Elastic and KQL where they apply), and a Slack alert the next time this touches a vendor you run are in the app — free account, no card.

CERT-FR advises multiple vulnerabilities in Stormshield Network Security allow data integrity compromise, XSS injection, and security bypass; patches available.

CERT-FR has published an advisory covering multiple vulnerabilities in Stormshield Network Security (SNS), a firewall/UTM product widely used in French and European enterprise and government networks. The vulnerabilities affect SNS versions 5.0.x prior to 5.0.10, 5.1.x prior to 5.1.4 EA, and versions prior to 4.8.20 LTSB. Impacts include atteinte à l'intégrité des données (data integrity compromise), an indirect remote code injection (reflected XSS), and a security policy bypass; at least one additional issue type is unspecified by the vendor.

One CVE is referenced (CVE-2026-111090) alongside four Stormshield vendor bulletins (STORM-2026-022, 030, 031, 032) published 16 October 2026, each likely corresponding to a distinct flaw bundled into this single CERT-FR advisory. No in-the-wild exploitation is reported. Defenders running Stormshield Network Security should consult the vendor advisories for the full technical details and apply the corrected versions (5.0.10+, 5.1.4 EA+, or 4.8.20 LTSB+) as soon as possible, given the product's common deployment as perimeter security infrastructure where a bypass of security policy could have significant downstream impact.

What this brief leaves out

This page is the free tier: the write-up, the severity, the names. In the app the same report carries its extracted indicators, its detections (Splunk SPL already written, plus Elastic and Microsoft KQL where they apply), the actors and CVEs it names as live profiles, and the vendor research on the same campaign — the primary source the news paraphrased, cited and read directly.

It sits in a corpus of 13,623 reports from 145 sources, 566 of them written in the last seven days, and it grows through the day.

A new account starts with three days of all of it, no card, then keeps the government and CERT reporting free. Name the vendors you run and Slack hears about the reports that touch them — about forty a week that are yours, not the four hundred that are not.
