Ransomware.live has indexed a breach of SON-VIDEO, a Japanese video platform, reported by ransomware operators. The breach resulted in exposure of credentials for 2,876 users, 6 third-party employee accounts, and an external attack surface of 100 identified assets. The compromise was facilitated by infostealer malware infections, which typically lead to credential theft and downstream ransomware deployment. The victim's DNS records were also catalogued as part of the reconnaissance activity. This represents a supply-chain or employee-targeting risk, as the exposure of third-party credentials could enable lateral movement or further compromise.
