Daikin Security Gateway authentication bypass unpatched

routine vulnerability energy

Free public brief. The indicators, the detections with Splunk SPL already written (plus Elastic and KQL where they apply), and a Slack alert the next time this touches a vendor you run are in the app — free account, no card.

Weak password recovery in Daikin Security Gateway allows unauthenticated remote access; vendor will not patch.

Daikin Europe N.V Security Gateway (App 100, Frm 214) contains a critical authentication bypass vulnerability in its password recovery mechanism (CVE-2025-10127). The flaw allows an attacker to bypass authentication and gain unauthorized system access without credentials via a user-controlled key vulnerability (CWE-640). The vulnerability is remotely exploitable with low attack complexity and has a CVSS v3.1 score of 9.8 and CVSS v4 score of 8.8.

Daikin has stated they will not fix this vulnerability and will respond directly to user inquiries. A public proof-of-concept exploit authored by researcher Gjoko Krstic is available. No active in-the-wild exploitation targeting this specific flaw has been reported to CISA to date, but the presence of public exploits and the critical nature of the vulnerability create significant risk for critical infrastructure operators.

Defenders should implement network segmentation to isolate affected gateways from internet-facing networks, use firewalls and VPNs for any required remote access, and contact Daikin support for guidance on alternative mitigations or product alternatives. Organizations should perform risk assessment before deploying changes given the criticality of these devices in energy sector environments.

What this brief leaves out

This page is the free tier: the write-up, the severity, the names. In the app the same report carries its extracted indicators, its detections (Splunk SPL already written, plus Elastic and Microsoft KQL where they apply), the actors and CVEs it names as live profiles, and the vendor research on the same campaign — the primary source the news paraphrased, cited and read directly.

It sits in a corpus of 13,854 reports from 146 sources, 616 of them written in the last seven days, and it grows through the day.

A new account starts with three days of all of it, no card, then keeps the government and CERT reporting free. Name the vendors you run and Slack hears about the reports that touch them — about forty a week that are yours, not the four hundred that are not.
