Critical ACE flaws across Adobe Creative Cloud suite

CIS advisory: 30 CVEs in Adobe After Effects, Audition, Bridge, DNG SDK, InDesign, Lightroom, and Substance 3D allow arbitrary code execution; no active exploitation reported.
CIS-ISAC has published a multi-product vulnerability advisory covering 30 memory-safety defects across seven Adobe product lines. The most severe vulnerabilities affect Adobe After Effects (11 CVEs), Substance 3D Designer (7 CVEs), and Substance 3D Stager (5 CVEs), with additional flaws in Audition, Bridge, DNG SDK, InDesign, and Lightroom Classic. Exploitation of the most critical issues could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the logged-on user, with impact ranging from program installation and data manipulation to account creation with full privileges. The advisory notes no evidence of in-the-wild exploitation at the time of publication. Affected versions span recent releases: After Effects 25.6 and earlier, Audition 25.3 and earlier, Bridge 16.0.1 and earlier, InDesign ID21.1 and earlier, Lightroom Classic 15.1 and earlier, and Substance 3D tools 15.1.0 and earlier for Designer. Primary vulnerability classes include out-of-bounds write operations, use-after-free conditions, integer overflows, and heap-based buffer overflows—all classical memory-corruption primitives that enable code execution. Defenders should prioritize patching systems running these products, particularly those used by administrative or privileged users where exploit impact would be most severe.

Detection guidance
Adobe Creative Cloud Application Spawning Shell or Script Interpreter
Adobe After Effects, Audition, Bridge, InDesign, Lightroom or Substance 3D processes spawning cmd, PowerShell or script hosts, which is a typical post-exploitation pattern after a memory-corruption bug in a crafted project or media file. Auto-generated starting point — validate and tune in your environment before deploying. IOC matches can false-positive on shared infrastructure and decay as adversary infrastructure rotates.
title: Adobe Creative Cloud Application Spawning Shell or Script Interpreter
description: Detects Adobe Creative Cloud desktop applications (After Effects, Audition,
Bridge, InDesign, Lightroom, Substance 3D) spawning command shells or script hosts.
This is consistent with client-side exploitation of memory-corruption flaws (OOB
write, UAF, heap overflow) via a crafted file. Generalises on the parent/child relation,
not on any specific CVE or file.

Adobe Creative Cloud Application Spawning LOLBin or Recon Tool
Adobe creative applications spawning download/proxy-execution binaries or reconnaissance utilities, suggesting code execution via a memory-corruption exploit. Auto-generated starting point — validate and tune in your environment before deploying. IOC matches can false-positive on shared infrastructure and decay as adversary infrastructure rotates.
title: Adobe Creative Cloud Application Spawning LOLBin or Recon Tool
description: Detects Adobe Creative Cloud applications spawning living-off-the-land
binaries (rundll32, regsvr32, certutil, bitsadmin, msiexec) or discovery tools (whoami,
net, systeminfo, nltest). Such children are not part of normal rendering or editing
workflows and indicate possible exploitation of a memory-safety vulnerability.

What this brief leaves out
This page is the free tier: the write-up, the severity, the names. In the app the same report carries its extracted indicators, its detections (Splunk SPL already written, plus Elastic and Microsoft KQL where they apply), the actors and CVEs it names as live profiles, and the vendor research on the same campaign — the primary source the news paraphrased, cited and read directly.
It sits in a corpus of 13,854 reports from 146 sources, 616 of them written in the last seven days, and it grows through the day.
A new account starts with three days of all of it, no card, then keeps the government and CERT reporting free. Name the vendors you run and Slack hears about the reports that touch them — about forty a week that are yours, not the four hundred that are not.
