IBM Guardium flaws enable unauthenticated RCE

IBM patched multiple critical vulnerabilities in Guardium Data Protection, including two CVSS 9.8 flaws allowing unauthenticated remote code execution.
NCSC-NL issued an advisory summarizing IBM's fixes for ten vulnerabilities in IBM Guardium Data Protection versions 12.0, 12.1, and 12.2. The flaws span path traversal, SQL injection, and multiple buffer overflow issues (heap-based, stack-based, and buffer overrun) located in components including the MongoDB protocol parser and the TDS PRELOGIN packet decoder. Two of the vulnerabilities (CVE-2026-75875 and CVE-2026-80381) carry a CVSS v3 score of 9.8 and allow unauthenticated remote code execution via path traversal.
Successful exploitation could allow attackers to execute arbitrary code without authentication, access or manipulate sensitive data protected by Guardium, or cause denial-of-service conditions, impacting the confidentiality, integrity and availability of affected systems. Given Guardium's role as a data protection and database activity monitoring platform, compromise could expose sensitive database environments it is meant to safeguard.
No evidence of in-the-wild exploitation is mentioned in the advisory. IBM has released updates addressing all listed CVEs; defenders running Guardium Data Protection 12.0–12.2 should prioritize patching, particularly for the two unauthenticated RCE flaws, and review network exposure of the MongoDB and TDS-related parsing components.

What this brief leaves out
This page is the free tier: the write-up, the severity, the names. In the app the same report carries its extracted indicators, its detections (Splunk SPL already written, plus Elastic and Microsoft KQL where they apply), the actors and CVEs it names as live profiles, and the vendor research on the same campaign — the primary source the news paraphrased, cited and read directly.
It sits in a corpus of 13,854 reports from 146 sources, 616 of them written in the last seven days, and it grows through the day.
A new account starts with three days of all of it, no card, then keeps the government and CERT reporting free. Name the vendors you run and Slack hears about the reports that touch them — about forty a week that are yours, not the four hundred that are not.
