Krybit ransomware lists Jones the Grocer
Free public brief. The indicators, the detections with Splunk and KQL already written, and a Slack alert the next time this touches a vendor you run are in the app — free account, no card.
Ransomware group Krybit claims Jones the Grocer as a victim, with exposed FortiOS SSL-VPN credentials tied to the FortiBleed flaw (CVE-2022-40684).
Ransomware.live has indexed a new victim listing from the Krybit ransomware group targeting www.jonesthegrocer.com. The listing notes limited compromise details—no confirmed employee compromise but six compromised user accounts and two sets of third-party employee credentials—alongside an external attack surface of three exposed assets.
Notably, the entry flags that the victim's FortiOS SSL-VPN credentials were exposed via the FortiBleed vulnerability (CVE-2022-40684), an authentication bypass in FortiOS/FortiProxy that allows attackers to retrieve system files including admin credentials without authentication. This suggests the initial access vector or a contributing exposure may be tied to unpatched or previously-exploited Fortinet SSL-VPN appliances. Organizations using FortiOS should verify patch status against CVE-2022-40684 and rotate any credentials that may have been exposed through this vulnerability, particularly for VPN and administrative accounts.
Defenders should treat this as a routine ransomware group leak-site listing; there is no indication of a novel technique or large-scale campaign, but the FortiBleed reference reinforces the ongoing risk of unpatched Fortinet SSL-VPN devices being leveraged for initial access or credential theft in ransomware intrusions.

What this brief leaves out
This page is the free tier: the write-up, the severity, the names. In the app the same report carries its extracted indicators, its detections with the Splunk SPL and Microsoft KQL already written, the actors and CVEs it names as live profiles, and the vendor research on the same campaign — the primary source the news paraphrased, cited and read directly.
It sits in a corpus of 9,768 reports from 155 sources, 1,535 of them written in the last seven days, and it grows through the day.
A new account starts with three days of all of it, no card, then keeps the government and CERT reporting free. Name the vendors you run and Slack hears about the reports that touch them — about forty a week that are yours, not the four hundred that are not.
