ANSSI (CERT-FR) published an advisory regarding a vulnerability affecting Synology Assistant versions prior to 7.0.7-50095. The flaw, tracked as CVE-2026-4793, could allow an attacker to compromise data confidentiality, data integrity, and cause a denial of service on affected systems.

Synology has released a security bulletin (Synology_SA_26_12) addressing the issue. Administrators using Synology Assistant should update to version 7.0.7-50095 or later as soon as possible to remediate the vulnerability. No evidence of active exploitation is mentioned in the advisory.
