Microsoft released patches for 120+ vulnerabilities across Exchange, SQL Server, Dynamics 365, and other products enabling remote code execution and privilege escalation.

CERT-FR has published an advisory documenting over 120 vulnerabilities across a wide range of Microsoft products patched in September 2026. The affected products include critical enterprise infrastructure components: Exchange Server 2016, 2019, and Subscription Edition; SQL Server 2017, 2019, 2022, and 2025 across multiple cumulative update and GDR tracks; Dynamics 365 on-premises and Cloud; SharePoint Server Subscription Edition; and authentication libraries including MSAL for Node.js. Additionally, media processing extensions (HEIF, HEVC, WebP, Raw Image), collaboration tools (Teams, Skype for Business), development platforms (Visual Studio 2022/2026, Visual Studio Code), and device management services (Xbox Gaming Services, Power Automate) are included in the patch set.

The vulnerabilities enable multiple attack vectors: remote code execution, privilege escalation, denial of service, data confidentiality and integrity compromise, and security policy bypass. The advisory does not indicate whether any of these vulnerabilities are currently exploited in the wild, but the breadth of the patch set and the severity of potential impacts warrant prompt evaluation and deployment. Defenders should prioritize SQL Server and Exchange Server instances, as these are typically high-value targets for attackers. The advisory provides individual CVE references and links to Microsoft Security Response Center (MSRC) bulletins for each vulnerability, enabling targeted remediation planning.

What this brief leaves out

This page is the free tier: the write-up, the severity, the names. In the app the same report carries its extracted indicators, its detections (Splunk SPL already written, plus Elastic and Microsoft KQL where they apply), the actors and CVEs it names as live profiles, and the vendor research on the same campaign — the primary source the news paraphrased, cited and read directly.

It sits in a corpus of 13,854 reports from 146 sources, 616 of them written in the last seven days, and it grows through the day.

A new account starts with three days of all of it, no card, then keeps the government and CERT reporting free. Name the vendors you run and Slack hears about the reports that touch them — about forty a week that are yours, not the four hundred that are not.
