Rockwell ControlLogix Ethernet Modules Web Debugger RCE
Free public brief. The indicators, the detections with Splunk SPL already written (plus Elastic and KQL where they apply), and a Slack alert the next time this touches a vendor you run are in the app — free account, no card.
Default-enabled web debugger in Rockwell ControlLogix Ethernet Modules allows unauthenticated remote code execution; patch to Version 12.001.
Rockwell Automation ControlLogix Ethernet Modules (1756-EN2T/D, 1756-EN2F/C, 1756-EN2TR/C, 1756-EN3TR/B, 1756-EN2TP/A) up to and including Version 11.004 ship with an insecure default: the web-based debugger agent is enabled without authentication. An attacker on the network can connect to this agent using a specific IP address to perform arbitrary memory reads and writes, control program execution flow, and ultimately achieve remote code execution on the module. The vulnerability is rated CVSS 9.3 (AV:N/AC:L) — remotely exploitable with no authentication or user interaction required.
No active exploitation has been reported as of the advisory date. The affected products are deployed across critical infrastructure sectors worldwide, including energy, water, manufacturing, and transportation systems. Rockwell recommends immediate patching to Version 12.001. Until patching is possible, organizations should implement network segmentation to isolate control system devices from internet access, use firewalls to restrict access from untrusted networks, and deploy VPNs for any required remote access with additional authentication controls.

What this brief leaves out
This page is the free tier: the write-up, the severity, the names. In the app the same report carries its extracted indicators, its detections (Splunk SPL already written, plus Elastic and Microsoft KQL where they apply), the actors and CVEs it names as live profiles, and the vendor research on the same campaign — the primary source the news paraphrased, cited and read directly.
It sits in a corpus of 13,854 reports from 146 sources, 616 of them written in the last seven days, and it grows through the day.
A new account starts with three days of all of it, no card, then keeps the government and CERT reporting free. Name the vendors you run and Slack hears about the reports that touch them — about forty a week that are yours, not the four hundred that are not.
