Multiple Palo Alto Networks products patched for RCE and privilege escalation

routine vulnerability

Multiple vulnerabilities across Palo Alto Networks security products enable remote code execution, privilege escalation, and denial of service.

CERT-FR has issued a security advisory covering multiple vulnerabilities affecting Palo Alto Networks products including Cortex XDR Broker VM, PAN-OS across multiple versions, Prisma Access, and Prisma Browser. The vulnerabilities enable attackers to execute arbitrary code remotely, escalate privileges, cause denial of service, bypass security policies, and conduct server-side request forgery attacks. Affected versions include Cortex XDR Broker VM prior to 31.0.58, PAN-OS 10.2.0 prior to 10.2.18-h8, PAN-OS 11.1.0 prior to 11.1.4-h35, PAN-OS 11.1.x prior to 11.1.16, PAN-OS 11.2.x prior to 11.2.13, PAN-OS 12.1.x prior to 12.1.8, Prisma Access 10.2.x prior to 10.2.10-h39, Prisma Access 11.2.x prior to 11.2.7-h18, Prisma Access 12.1.x prior to 12.1.8, and Prisma Browser prior to 150.33.2.46. Organizations running these products should apply vendor patches immediately as specified in Palo Alto Networks security bulletins.

What this brief leaves out

This page is the free tier: the write-up, the severity, the names. In the app the same report carries its extracted indicators, its detections (Splunk SPL already written, plus Elastic and Microsoft KQL where they apply), the actors and CVEs it names as live profiles, and the vendor research on the same campaign — the primary source the news paraphrased, cited and read directly.

It sits in a corpus of 13,854 reports from 146 sources, 616 of them written in the last seven days, and it grows through the day.

A new account starts with three days of all of it, no card, then keeps the government and CERT reporting free. Name the vendors you run and Slack hears about the reports that touch them — about forty a week that are yours, not the four hundred that are not.
