Arbitrary File Read Flaw in Torrent Suite
Free public brief. The indicators, the detections with Splunk SPL already written (plus Elastic and KQL where they apply), and a Slack alert the next time this touches a vendor you run are in the app — free account, no card.
A file-read vulnerability in Thermo Fisher Torrent Suite Software ≤5.18 lets attackers read arbitrary files on the Torrent Server; no exploitation observed yet.
CISA published an ICS medical advisory describing a vulnerability (CVE-2026-107777) in Thermo Fisher Torrent Suite Software, affecting all versions up to and including 5.18. Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to read arbitrary files on the Torrent Server, which could expose sensitive configuration data, credentials, or genomic/sequencing data processed by the platform. The product is used worldwide within the Healthcare and Public Health critical infrastructure sector, and the vendor is headquartered in the United States.
CISA states there is no known public exploitation of this vulnerability at this time. The advisory does not specify a patched version or vendor remediation guidance beyond CISA's standard ICS defensive recommendations: minimizing network exposure of control system devices, isolating control system networks behind firewalls separate from business networks, and using secure remote access methods such as VPNs. Organizations should also apply standard phishing and social-engineering awareness practices. The vulnerability was reported to CISA by researchers Akanksha Raghvesh and Abhinav Agarwal.
Defenders operating Torrent Suite Software should verify their version, restrict network access to the Torrent Server to trusted internal segments, and monitor for unusual file-access patterns pending vendor patch guidance, which is not detailed in this advisory.

What this brief leaves out
This page is the free tier: the write-up, the severity, the names. In the app the same report carries its extracted indicators, its detections (Splunk SPL already written, plus Elastic and Microsoft KQL where they apply), the actors and CVEs it names as live profiles, and the vendor research on the same campaign — the primary source the news paraphrased, cited and read directly.
It sits in a corpus of 13,854 reports from 146 sources, 616 of them written in the last seven days, and it grows through the day.
A new account starts with three days of all of it, no card, then keeps the government and CERT reporting free. Name the vendors you run and Slack hears about the reports that touch them — about forty a week that are yours, not the four hundred that are not.
