A coordinated pro-Kremlin information influence campaign promoted eulosses[.]com, a fabricated website falsely claiming the European Union loses €65-135 million daily due to Russia sanctions. The website, built using Russian infrastructure and debunked by four independent fact-checkers, presented inflated economic loss figures with no verifiable methodology. The DFRLab identified 301 cross-platform mentions across nine platforms and twenty languages, with Russian-language Telegram channels generating the highest engagement through coordinated amplification bursts in July and August 2025.

In Estonia, the narrative was amplified within Russian-language information spaces ahead of October 2025 municipal elections. An obscure Facebook persona "Anatoli Barinov Jr." promoted the website in the 64,300-member "Russian-speaking Estonia" Facebook group, which is known for circulating pro-Kremlin narratives. Estonian Parliament member Aleksandr Chaplygin subsequently posted six times about alleged EU economic harm from sanctions, garnering significant engagement. The campaign leveraged known Kremlin-aligned networks including Pravda Network websites and InfoDefense Telegram channels.

The operation appears designed to exploit Estonia's Russian-speaking population and undermine support for Estonia's strong pro-sanctions stance on Russia. The coordinated nature of the campaign, featuring copy-pasta content replication, distinct amplification spikes, and involvement of established pro-Kremlin information networks, indicates a deliberate attempt to deepen domestic polarization by turning Russophone Estonians against their country's foreign policy. Estonia has been a leading advocate for sanctioning Russia over actions in Ukraine, making its Russian-speaking community a strategic target for influence operations.
