Oracle has released patches addressing 19 vulnerabilities in Oracle VM VirtualBox, a widely-used virtualization platform. The flaws span multiple impact categories, with CVSS scores ranging from 3.2 to 8.6. One vulnerability (CVE-2026-87277, CVSS 7.5) can be exploited remotely without authentication via RDP and may disrupt system availability. The highest-scored flaw (CVE-2026-87273, CVSS 8.6) requires local access and user interaction but can compromise confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The remaining vulnerabilities require local access, authentication, or prior privilege elevation to exploit. None are classified as critical. Defenders should prioritize patching systems running VirtualBox, particularly those handling sensitive workloads or exposed to remote access.
