Free public brief. The indicators, the detections with Splunk and KQL already written, and a Slack alert the next time this touches a vendor you run are in the app — free account, no card.

A CWE-200 information exposure flaw in Johnson Controls EasyIO Neo EC/CW building controllers could help attackers stage further attacks; no known exploitation yet.

CISA published an ICS advisory for a vulnerability (CVE-2026-64892) affecting Johnson Controls EasyIO Neo Series EC and CW programmable edge controllers used in building automation (HVAC, lighting, energy management) across Critical Manufacturing, Commercial Facilities, Government Services, Transportation, and Energy sectors worldwide. The flaw is classified as CWE-200, Exposure of Sensitive Information to an Unauthorized Actor, and could allow an attacker to obtain sensitive information useful for conducting further attacks against the affected system.

Affected versions include EC Controllers V3.3b63 and V3.3b62, and CW Controllers V3.3b25 and V3.3b24. Johnson Controls has released fixed firmware (EC V3.3b64 and CW V3.3b26) and recommends upgrading as soon as operationally feasible. Interim mitigations include physical access controls to debug ports, network traffic monitoring, least-privilege account configuration, disabling/authenticating debug interfaces, IDS/IPS deployment, and following the JCI universal hardening guide.

CISA states no known public exploitation targeting this vulnerability has been reported. The vulnerability was responsibly disclosed by researcher Gabriele Gardois. Given the information-disclosure nature, lack of active exploitation, and availability of a vendor patch, this is a routine patch-management item rather than an urgent incident.

What this brief leaves out

This page is the free tier: the write-up, the severity, the names. In the app the same report carries its extracted indicators, its detections with the Splunk SPL and Microsoft KQL already written, the actors and CVEs it names as live profiles, and the vendor research on the same campaign — the primary source the news paraphrased, cited and read directly.

It sits in a corpus of 10,566 reports from 152 sources, 502 of them written in the last seven days, and it grows through the day.

A new account starts with three days of all of it, no card, then keeps the government and CERT reporting free. Name the vendors you run and Slack hears about the reports that touch them — about forty a week that are yours, not the four hundred that are not.
