Oracle Java SE October 2026 Patch Update
Free public brief. Slack alerts on the vendors you run come with the paid plans, and a new account gets three days of them, no card.
CERT-FR advises patching over 100 Oracle Java SE, GraalVM and JavaFX vulnerabilities disclosed in Oracle's October 2026 Critical Patch Update.
CERT-FR has issued an advisory relaying Oracle's October 2026 Critical Patch Update (CPU), which addresses a large number of vulnerabilities across Oracle Java SE, Oracle GraalVM Enterprise Edition, Oracle GraalVM for JDK, and Oracle JavaFX. Affected versions span Java SE 8u503 through the newly released Java SE 27, GraalVM 21.3.19.1.1/17.0.20.1/21.0.12.1, and JavaFX 21.0.12/25.0.4/27.
The vulnerabilities collectively enable remote code execution, remote denial of service, data confidentiality breaches, data integrity violations, and security policy bypass, depending on the specific flaw and deployment configuration. No evidence of in-the-wild exploitation is cited in the advisory; this is a routine vendor patch-cycle notification rather than a reported active campaign.
Defenders running affected Oracle Java, GraalVM, or JavaFX products should consult Oracle's cpuoct2026 bulletin for per-CVE CVSS scores, affected sub-versions, and applicability (e.g., client vs. server deployments, sandboxed applet/WebStart usage), and apply the vendor-supplied patches according to risk and exposure. Given the breadth of the update, prioritize patching for internet-facing or untrusted-input-processing Java deployments first.

What this brief leaves out
This page is the free tier: the write-up, the severity, the names. In the app the same report carries live profiles of the CVEs it names. The paid plans add the security research and news reporting the free tier leaves out.
It sits in a corpus of 14,237 reports from 143 sources, 591 of them written in the last seven days, and it grows through the day.
A new account starts with three days of all of it, no card, then keeps the government and CERT reporting free. Slack alerts are a paid-plan feature: name the vendors you run and Slack hears about the reports that touch them — about forty a week that are yours, not the four hundred that are not.
